PDS Tech Inc Flight Training Instructor in Miami, Florida

PDS Tech Inc. is seeking candidates for an Flight Training Instructor for a position in Miami, FL.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ground training, flight training, Crew Resource Management and Human Factors training, for flight crew transition and recurrent training, using all levels of Airbus Training Center training resources in preparation for type ratings. Administer and conduct recurrent and re-qualification training including CRM and Human Factors for flight crews in preparation for simulator evaluation.

  • Evaluate the crew's progress gaining skills and knowledge within the standard time-frame of the course. Make decisions on additional training necessary for crews to achieve required level.

  • Maintain competency and qualification on Airbus version(s) assigned by the Director, Flight Training.

  • Review and recommend changes in courseware or course content to improve the overall effectiveness of instruction.

  • Accurately documents trainee progress files.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


  • High School Graduated Required

  • BS/BA preferred


  • 3 Year minimum airline experience


  • A320 Type Rating desired

  • US ATPL or Commercial Instrument Rating Multi Engine with "Fly By Wire" aircraft type rating

  • A minimum of 5,000 hours as a pilot

  • A minimum of 1,500 hours in jet transport category aircraft

  • A minimum of 1,500 hours as pilot in command

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Is able to conduct instruction and briefings in fluent English

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Operate Simulator Cockpit


  • US citizen or permanent resident


  • TSA

Nature of Contacts:

Moderate Communication on a frequent basis with internal and external parties

Physical Requirements:

  • Carrying: Reference manuals, flip charts, books, tools, etc.

  • Hearing: Uses telephone and listens to clients/visitors and co-workers. Uses equipment (computer, fax, and others) that gives auditory signals.

  • Lifting: May lift boxes of materials up to 10 lbs

  • Pushing / Pulling: Sometimes

  • Sitting: Sits 75% of workday.

  • Speaking: Speaks and understands English to communicate with clients/visitors and co-workers throughout the day.

  • Squatting / Kneeling: Occasionally squats or kneels

  • Standing: Stands for short periods throughout the day.

  • Travel:

  • Vision: Reads from computer screen and hard copy, reads calendars, instructions, diagrams, uses reference manuals, etc.

  • Walking: Frequently
