PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Training Device Technician in Miami, FL.

Description:

  • Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.

  • Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components.

  • Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators.

  • Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.

  • Troubleshoots to isolate faults and repair faulty components.

  • Works under limited supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts

  • 5+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers

  • 5+ years' experience in testing flight critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop environment

  • 5+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in maintaining CAE, L3, TRU, and FSI Full Flight Simulators;

  • Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.

  • Associates Degree

Typical Education / Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
