PDS Tech Inc Retrofit Systems Manager - Engineering Role in Mobile, Alabama
PDS Tech is seeking candidates for a Retrofit System Manager Engineer position in Mobile, AL
The Retrofit Systems Engineer (RSE) is responsible for overall Service Bulletin (SB) project management. The individual will complete SB and Kit project related to avionics systems upgrades from Technical Offer creation to management/coordinate of SB certification.
- The RSM will have multiple roles in Upgrades Service Department:
- Technical Project Management:
Accountable for the timely delivery of a complete, accurate retrofit solution to the Customer
Develop project hour estimates for proposed technical solution
Ensure appropriate engineering resource(s) is in place and team is appropriately balanced with technical skills
Provide Technical Offer which integrate the constrains of the different contributing departments and functions (planning, commercial strategy, technical definition, SB production, kit availability) within the agreed lead-time
Manage projects within predefined budget and contractual time frame to achieve quality and "on time delivery" of overall project deliverables
Anticipate and mitigate any risks which could endanger the implementation of contractual commitments
- Design Task Responsible:
Work closely with engineers to develop and define technical solution proposals
Provide the appropriate level of engineering leadership to ensure delivery of engineering solutions
Able to receive Company technical delegation to approve Service Bulletin and provide system overview to customers
Support production during the embodiment phase of the Service Bulletin for issues/queries having impacts on overall project deliveries and/or supply chain
Qualification to acquire Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) Certification:
- Ensure certification objectives and provide means of compliance on regulation on behalf of Company product integrity which fulfill airworthiness requirements at Modification and Service Bulletin level
Experience / Skills / Training:
Minimum of 6 years in aircraft modification experience, specifically in Avionics Systems (Navigation, Communication, Recording and Autoflight) on Company aircrafts.
Must have strong project engineering experience.
Ability to write reports, technical memorandums, interface agreements, work statements and requirements documents using proficient technical English.
Ability to effectively present information to customers, both internal & external.
Excellent communication skills
Education / Special Qualifications:
- BS Engineering Degree, Masters or MBA preferred
- 10% International and Domestic
