- Job summary and requirements:
The engineer in this position will work in the Propulsion Systems IPT and the main scope of its work is the responsibility for equipment qualification, mainly in Fuel Systems, partially engine nacelle components as needed . The tasks are technical evaluation of qualification documents (test plans, test procedures, test results and similarity analysis reports); coordination of internal partners reviewing process; coordination with certification authorities and management of equipment suppliers and test laboratories.
BSc degree in engineering, with proven work experience of 3+ years in aircraft systems
Solid knowledge of equipment qualification and the standard RTCA/DO-160.
Hands on experience in technical revision of Qualification Test Plans/Procedures/Reports
Ability to communicate and manage equipment suppliers and test laboratories
Problem solving skill (skill to quickly and properly assess what is the issue without getting stuck in details)
Adaptability to work in a global team with a variety of cultures
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
2. Reports to:
The engineer in this position reports to the Qualification Team Leader, as member of the Propulsion Systems IPT.
3. Work Location:
The primary work location is Nagoya, Japan. However, travels may be requested to the system suppliers sites to manage qualification activities. Availability to travel abroad is needed for this position.
4. Scope of Work:
The engineer in this position will work as a team member of Propulsion Systems IPT.
Basic work scope is to provide technical assistance to the development and certification of the Client's Program, focusing on Propulsion Systems equipment qualification.
The activity includes (not limited to):
a. Technical analysis of qualification plans, qualification test procedures, qualification test results, qualification analysis and similarity reports.
b. Coordination with internal partners (other areas of the company, such as Vibration, Electrical System and EWIS teams) to review specific sections of the qualification documents.
c. Management of the equipment suppliers activities.
d. Preparation of certification documents related to the equipment qualification and, when required, coordination with certification authorities (JCAB, EASA, FAA).
e. Contribution to planning and coordinating the qualification activities along with the team members and suppliers.
