PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Machinist in Norcross, GA.
Fabricates ceramic and metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 2-4 years of experience.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the machinist field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
Successfully create parts from a blueprint, manufacturing operations and tooling instructions, or engineering instruction.
Set –up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines with “Fanuc” and “Haas” controls, CNC horizontal lathes, mills, grinder, and some manual machinery, etc., to very close tolerances. Consistently work with +/-.001 and tighter tolerances to a profile of +/-.0005. Use micrometers/other measuring instruments in order to perform quality control checks on parts in process and upon completion.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform necessary task and paper work for the proper movement and control of parts and material in conjunction with manufacturing tracking systems.
Actively participate in Honeywell Operating System (HOS) activities, daily meeting, understand what is to be accomplished during the shift, and discuss any new shift related issues.
Perform daily job functions in accordance with policies from: HSE&F, Quality, and housekeeping.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to provide coverage across all shifts including weekend day and/or night shift. (Overtime is a requirement)
Must be a US citizen
Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions.
Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated.
