PDS Tech Inc Manufacturing Engineer in Ocala, Florida

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Ocala, FL.

Description:

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.

  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.

  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

  • Trains technicians on assembly process.

  • Investigates root cause and corrective action for defective hardware.

  • Creates rework instructions for hardware.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.

  • This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience.

Desired:

  • Experienced with SAP Experienced with Microsoft, Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel).

  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques, Pro-E, or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic, packaging design, and MRS, concepts Leadership experience

  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment
