PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design, in Orlando, FL.
Mechanical Designer supporting Model-Based Definition (MBD) design project with experience in MIL-STD-31000 (Technical Data Package), ASME Y14.100-2017 (Engineering Drawing Practices), ASME Y14.35 (Revision of Engineering Drawings and Associated Documents), ASME Y14.41 (Digital Product Definition Data Practices), ASME Y14.47 (Model Organization Practices - Engineering Product Definition and Related Documentation Practices) and ASME Y14.5-2018 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
The mechanical designer will support and execute day-to-day MBD modeling and design support, MBD process capability development, process validation, and training.
ME Designer will work in collaboration with the MBD project team leads supporting agile execution of the project and other dependent Digital Transformation (DX) projects.
Mechanical Designer to develop CREO system layouts, packaging, conceptual and detail structural design of components, and detail MBD model annotation leading to fabrication of complex mechanical system.
Activity focused on the rapid maturation MBD process and capability development, but flexible to support program that needs 2D Drawing & model to 3D MBD model conversion, requirements development, and mechanical, systems design.
To meet an aggressive development to production timeline.
The candidate must be self-motivated, perform with limited supervision in a variety of work environments and be proactive in consulting experts and off-program support to resolve issues.
Extensive mechanical design, CREO MBD model annotation, ASME Y14.5-2018 GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), 3D-PDF / 3D-viewable generation, and hardware fabrication experiences are required.
The candidate must be knowledgeable and proficient in CREO modeling, drawing, MBD design, and annotation.
Other tasks include:
(1) Development of 3D drawing from fully annotated MBD models and creation/release of 2D engineering drawings and MBD model using 3D CAD Software CREO.
(2) MBD requirements derivation/decomposition.
(3) MBD Specification development for components.
(4) Collaborate / Coordinate with other Mechanical Engineers.
Will be working remotely but needs to be physically located in the local area as will need to come on-site occasionally.
- Certification in CREO modeling, detailing, MBD, and ASME Y14.
