PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer, in Palmdale, CA​​​​.

Job Description:

  • As part of an Agile/Scrum team, you will collaborate on all software development activities including requirements elicitation, design, development, documentation, testing, integration, more testing, and debugging of software.

  • You will be a key member of a team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of airborne and ground-based systems.

Education:

  • BS+11 YRS or MS+9 YRS

Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Other Engineering degrees are considered with significant engineering software development experience.

• Experience in one or more programming software languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, Python, and/or Java.

• Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)

• Familiar with Navigation, Guidance, and Control Systems

• Experience with programming MIL-STD-1553 busses

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Agile Process Tools (e.g. JIRA, Gitlab)

• Windows or Linux application or server-side development

• Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS), such as Wind River VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity

• Object-Oriented Programming Principles

• Experience with developing software for air vehicle systems

• Experience with integrating hardware and software, Rhapsody or other model-based software development

• Experience using standard office software tools/solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

• Ability to travel up to 10%

Demonstrated experience with the following:

• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics

• Solid decision making and judgment

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Basic financial and business acumen

• Ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed

• Cost Account Management (CAM) experience or knowledge is desired

• Successful candidates will possess attributes of a self-starter, go-getter, and positive attitude.

• Must have simulation, embedded software, and/or MIL-STD-1553 busses experience.

• Must be a strong software developer with Ada and/or C++ programming skills. Lead experience is highly desired for an emerging leader.

Must-Have experience:

• Super strong Programming experience in one or more programming software languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, Python, and/or Java is required (Ada preferred)

• Experience with programming MIL-STD-1553 busses

• Must have technical experience with Avionic Software systems
