PDS Tech Inc Systems Engineer- Top Secret in Palmdale, California

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer, in Palmdale, CA.

Job Description:

  • This position is for a senior member of an ADP Systems Engineering team, providing support across the entire product line including both new and existing programs. The candidate will be part of a fast paced, dynamic environment exploring state of the art technical solutions.

  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience across the spectrum of systems engineering activities. Will generate, decompose, track and verify requirements, perform risk assessments, lead trade studies, write SOWs (statement of work) and supplier specifications, perform technical planning, perform requirements verification and be involved in systems architecture development. The candidate will provide systems and subsystem integration and test support and work closely with program management to assure complete program integrity. The candidate will have experience authoring and managing Statements of Work (SOWs) and Engineering Requirements Documents (ERDs) for Subcontracts and Vendors.

  • The ideal candidate will have a practical understanding of Earned Value Measurement Systems (EVMS), aspires to be a technical leader and is a veteran in systems engineering, prepared to run portions of the effort and think creatively and individually, and a working knowledge of Requirements and Verification Traceability tools is extremely helpful in establishing verification methods.

  • Bachelor Or Above Technical Degree in a Technical Discipline

  • Must have a minimum final secret within last six years with ability to or in the process of obtaining a Top Secret SAR/SAP clearance

  • Experience leading systems engineering activities

  • Experience with requirements generation and decomposition

  • Experience using software tools (such as MS Excel and Access)

  • Experience with tracking requirements using the DOORS database tool

  • Experience with systems engineering process

  • Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements

  • Experience developing a system architecture (or familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF))

  • Good written and verbal communication with experience in writing requirements

  • Work experience with operational modeling tools

  • Previous integration and test experience

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) experience; CAM-Certification a plus.
