PDS Tech Inc Senior Test Engineer II - Clearance in Peabody, Massachusetts

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer Andover, MA.


  • Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development Programs within the Missiles and Defense Systems (RMD) business.

  • Our work involves electrical hardware for radar, missile and combat systems.

  • An opportunity exists for an engineer to join the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) team responsible for production test at the Andover, MA facility.

  • Primary responsibilities include supporting test, troubleshooting and test development of CCAs requiring Radio Frequency (RF) test and Digital/Analog designs.

  • Platforms include: Radio Frequency Test Station (RFTS) and AMPS 100 Power test stations.

  • This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering.

  • The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting production test of circuit cards on RF, Digital/Analog and Power test platforms

  • Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures

  • Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause

  • Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process

  • Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields

  • Engagement with Design teams to solve issues impacting production

  • Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed

  • Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline

  • Experience in test engineering or related experience, which can come professional experience and/or internships and coops.

  • RF, Digital and analog test / troubleshooting skills, which can come professional experience and/or internships and coops.

  • Ability to travel as required

  • U.S. citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. security clearance as of day one of employment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization

  • Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques

  • Test software development skills. Test Expert a plus!

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Active clearance
