PDS Tech is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Tech in Pflugerville, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Assist maintenance team to perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning, electromechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic equipment used in the manufacturing process.

  • Assist with maintenance on equipment to including welding, machine or vehicle servicing.

  • Also performs general construction and building maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist to perform a variety of maintenance tasked on machinery and equipment.

  • Assist with parts ordering.

  • Assist with creating and repairing of dies and jigs according to engineering and automation specs.

  • General building services and maintenance as requested by Supervisor.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures.

  • Comply with all policies, practices and procedures.

  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; and one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and use various hand tools

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks

  • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Ability to use hand and power tools and ability to operation material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack)

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees of the company.
