PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Pleasant Prairie, WI-

Description:

  • Process plastic and apply plastic coating over wire per specifications.

The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee the operation of extrusion machine as it extrudes plastic coating over wire per job specifications.

  • Complete of operator checklist continuously during process operation.

  • Monitor product, visually and with measuring tools to ensure product is running per job specifications.

  • Load raw material onto the extrusion machine.

  • Unload finished reel from extrusion machine.

  • Attend to any mechanical problems promptly as they arise.

  • Occasionally assist in training of co-workers in the extrusion process.

  • Accurately complete required reports.

  • Meet required productivity targets for operation.

  • Maintain continuous attention to safety and product quality standards.

  • Manage schedule requirements and execute administrative tasks to meet requirements.

  • Support HOS/continuous improvement activities.

Reports to:

  • Production Supervisor in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years experience in operation of extrusion lines

  • Must be 18 years of age.

Required:

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout standard 8-hour shift, plus any overtime required.

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.

  • Willingness to express ideas verbally.

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems.

  • Must be able to successfully operate in a team environment.

  • Desire to be part of a team that works in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Flexibility to work multiple roles as required.

  • Basic computer skills.
