PDS Tech Inc Sheet Metal Worker in Pomona, California

Position Summary:
As a Sheet Metal Worker I, you will work under the guidance of the Sheet Metal Lead to set up and operate machine tools, fabricate, and repair metal parts. You'll determine dimensions, tolerances, and the necessary sequence of operations by studying blueprints and sketches. This role involves using various machines, including shears, brakes, punches, notchers, and plasma cutters.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret work plans and specifications to lay out and measure sheet metal.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and metalworking machines to cut, bend, punch, and shape metal.
Fit, join, and assemble sheet metal parts to create final products or installation pieces.
Inspect finished products for quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
Repair and maintain sheet metal components.
Track job orders using the Made2Manage (M2M) system.
Additional Duties:
Report any deviations from specifications to the Lead.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Apprenticeship completion or one year of sheet metal work experience and related coursework preferred.
Ability to read and use a tape measure.
Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be organized, reliable, punctual, adaptable, and flexible.
Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
