Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Software Development Engineer as a key member in their growing Software Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with various technical teams in the company to design and take into production market defining automotive lidar product. The right candidate for this position will be a highly motivated SW engineer with a breadth of understanding of development of embedded computing platforms with Linux and ability to write world-class fast, efficient, low-latency code for perception pipelines and edge computing.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Software Design and Development for client’s automotive lidar products.

  • Software Development for System on Chip (SoC) devices running Embedded Linux within client’s products.

  • Implementation of Computer Vision and Machine Learning perception algorithms.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert level in C++, and/or working knowledge of Python.

  • Development experience on custom platforms using Embedded Linux.

  • Expertise in writing fast, efficient, and low-latency code for parallel processing of real-time data.

  • Hands on experience utilizing some of the following software frameworks and libraries: Computer Vision (e.g., OpenCV), Point Cloud Processing (e.g., PCL), Parallel Computing (e.g., Cuda), Visualization (e.g., OpenGL), Machine Learning (e.g., TensorFlow), or ML Compilers (e.g., TVM).

  • Knowledge of digital filtering techniques and working with 3D datasets and point clouds.

  • Exposure to Software Projects developing to Automotive standards, such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, or AUTOSAR.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Performance optimization of algorithms in the perception pipeline.

  • Collaborate closely with team members and cross-functionally on developing systems from prototyping to production level.

  • Innovate new product features leveraging client's Laser Beam Scanning Technology.

  • Document and communicate design work.

  • Conduct design reviews.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

  • BSc.in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
