PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a FAA Technician in Renton, WA.
FAA POSITION Constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components.
Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts.
Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
May require 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Display and/or Radio Frequency experience.
Associates Degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, electro-mechanical, or related area or Equivalent.
Ability to perform high and low level temperature soldering to printed circuits boards with both thru hole and surface mount components.
Ability to identify and read values of common electronic components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, electronic schematics, and use electronic test equipment.
Ability to follow and work to precise Manufacturing methods.
Ability to operate necessary tooling. For example, crimpers (manual and electric), Automatic wire cutting/stripping machine, Voltmeter, Multi-meter, and cut off saw. As well as, a familiarity with all common hand tools.
Knowledgeable with transformers, capacitors, switches, and circuits and common electronic components and fasteners.
Experience crimping contacts and lugs to wires.
Aircraft wiring experience. This includes working with shielded cable, grounding and solder sleeves.
Be a conscientious and hardworking individual.
Able to pass a solder test.
Self starter that is able to work with little or no supervision.
