PDS Tech is currently recruiting for a Tool & Die Maintenance Technician to work in Ridgeville, SC!
We are looking for talented people to be part of a growing supply chain company that produces die cast automotive and diesel parts for some of the best auto and diesel manufacturing facilities across the Low Country and the state of South Carolina.
This position is a position that will perform die maintenance & installation, as well as evaluate and repair the dies. This position can lead to expanded opportunities as you learn new skills.
Clean work environment - 3 year old state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
Multiple shifts available
The temperature is not regulated but is indoors

The Tool & Die Maintenance Person will:
Support equipment / die downtime in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Develop and support die maintenance and improvement projects.
Support weekend and shutdown die issues.
Support training of other die associates.
Support of the engineering group in short / long term projects.
Support machine checks, preventative maintenance duties, line troubleshooting and reporting of problems and repairs;
Utilizes hand tools, power tools, and hoists/cranes to repair and maintain dies and associated equipment.
Utilizes calipers, micrometers and other gauges to evaluate production components.
May be trained and assigned to perform Plant Start-up & Shutdown Procedures and Weekend/Holiday Shutdown Facilities Check.
Work on daily activities as assigned by the Team Leader.
Perform quality & running efficiency improvements to the dies.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance plans & activities.
Quality confirmation of completed work.
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a maintenance technician.
Must demonstrate capability of using hand and power tools.
Understands safety policies, quality policy and environmental policies.
Has basic understanding of GD&T etc.
Ability to analyze die & process problems and implement repairs & countermeasures for:
Hydraulic cylinder issues
Ability to weld & hard finish.
Demonstrate solid “Troubleshooting” skills.
General electrical troubleshooting.
General machine tool knowledge.
Understanding of 2D drawings.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions and components.
Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift long term.
