PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking candidates for an Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist in Berkeley, MO.
Description:
Prepares, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes and maintains, integrated plans and schedules for proposals, projects, programs and major initiatives at all levels across functional value streams to meet program and/or project objectives.
Tracks, plans, schedules and performs risk analysis for projects, programs and change activities throughout the lifecycle of a program.
Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, process improvement, or program initiatives.
Develops the Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule and supporting elements, and drives program planning through the Enterprise Gated Process in support of Program requirements and objectives.
Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners.
Identifies, analyzes and reports schedule performance variances.
Performs schedule-related risk and opportunity analyses and provides potential solutions to management.
Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates in relevant documentation where appropriate.
Performs schedule, event and change impact analysis.
Oversees implementation planning for change requirements and ensures commitment of stakeholders.
Develops and posts planning, scheduling and change related metrics/reports.
Maintains disciplined revision control of all planning/schedule baselines.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit Integrated Performance Management Reports (IPMR) or equivalent
Develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains plans and schedules for complex projects, programs, and change driven activities
Experience using Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project, Milestones Professional and Excel
Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints, and plans involving product development, production rates, production development activities, process improvement, or program initiatives
Develops the Integrated Master Plan, schedule and supports change incorporation plans related to integrated scheduling products
Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates recovery plans where appropriate
Provides training and mentoring to lower level employees
Develops proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules
Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning) and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action
Prepares Critical Path analysis, scheduling metrics and reports that depict program execution and progress to plan
Integrate of supplier and partner plans into the IMS to ensure the whole team is operating to the same rhythm and priorities
Assist in driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning and improved schedule visibility/visualization
As the Scheduler, you will participate all aspects of Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) activities and will execute the following roles to provide actionable, value added products to their customers:

Requirements:
Analytical Skills (Technical)
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Critical Path Methodology
Knowledge of critical path network methodology (e.g., logic, relationship/interdependency, early/late, start/complete, minimum duration).
Earned Value Management
Knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its application.
Engineering Processes
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
Operations Processes
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Operations departments/disciplines (e.g., Fabrication, Assembly, Tooling, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering). Knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-operations processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Logistics).
Proj Management Theory/Concept
Knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.) contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK[R] Guide).
Proj Sched & Resource Mgmt
Ability to create project schedules to identify overall timeframe for project activities to meet the defined project objectives (to include major milestones), identify resource requirements for projects, and manage those resources throughout the project life cycle.
Scheduling Tools
Knowledge of master scheduling tools (e.g., #1 Flow, critical path analysis, trend analysis, improvement curve theory, precedence network).
Systems Thinking
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Education / Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
