This is a secondary skill classification used in conjunction with a primary skill. It is always a degreed engineer who assumes overall responsibility for a particular project in any category, i.e. electrical, piping, structural, HVAC, etc. Responsibilities include overall project definition, project cost estimate, scheduling of manpower and everything required in the course of a project to reach completion (installation in the field). This is a senior level position.

The role will be responsible for developing of innovative imaging tools and providing technical support for internal automation applications. Project stages will include proof-of-concept code development, validation, deployment, and continued development/refinement. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has a strong desire to work in world class technology organization helping to advance state of the art research into seed production processes while gaining valuable experience.

Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience with image processing and algorithm development. Strong familiarity with image segmentation, target detection, and classification with traditional image processing techniques is required. Color and morphological segmentation and analysis methods are expected. MATLAB or equivalent is required. Experience in image processing with convolutional neural networks and is a strong plus. Hands-on experience with GUI development is also a strong plus. Imaging processing using 3D techniques is a strong plus. Must be able to work in high performing teams comprised of multiple disciplines. Results orientation and commitment to successful deployments and continued support are critical. Requires a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a master's degree in Bio-Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Average travel up to 20% with higher peak periods
