Job Title: Quality Control Inspector II

Job Type: Full Time; Contract

Pay Rate: $36.05 per hour

Position Purpose:

PDS Tech is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II in Savannah, GA, to ensure the highest standards of quality control are met for aerospace components during initial phase manufacturing, composites, and final phase assembly. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience and 5 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace. Completion of a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days of employment is essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Inspection: Utilize engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications to perform detailed inspections of aircraft parts and assemblies.

  • Verification and Documentation: Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections to verify conformance with all applicable standards and document all findings accurately.

  • Safety and Compliance: Lead and participate in safety audits, report potential hazards, and ensure the workplace adheres to safety standards.

  • Training and Leadership: Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and coordinate inspection activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Additional Functions:

  • Technical Support: Offer ongoing support to manufacturing and engineering teams, helping to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Perform duties as an MRB (Material Review Board) signature authority to decide on the disposition of nonconforming materials.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at improving quality processes and procedures within the organization.

Other Requirements:

  • Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams, particularly GAC CATIA.

  • Proficiency with GAC work instructions, technical specifications, and the GAC QA Manual.

  • Skilled in the use of tools and equipment necessary for high-quality inspections.

Pay Details: $36.05 per hour
