QC Inspector I Position in Savannah, GA

Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour
Role Overview:
As a QC Inspector I, you will perform various inspection duties to ensure that aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data. You will utilize engineering drawings, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, and other related documents to perform inspections in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase.
Essential Functions:
Perform inspection duties using engineering drawings and orders, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures, and instructions.
Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structure and systems, verify functional operation, final inspections, inspect for FOD, and verify paperwork.
Perform conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.
Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment.
Conduct work in a manner that enhances health and safety, product safety, and promotes risk reduction.
Additional Functions:
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of shop mathematics and CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation.
Competent in the use of basic shop tools and equipment.
Must be able to pass a math/reading and eye test to obtain a PQ stamp.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required.
2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
Formal Inspection Training Program (90 Days) required.

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
