Job Summary The candidate will work as an Upholstery Technician I focusing on fabricating and installing various upholstery components for aircraft interiors based on design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. This includes making patterns and covering panels.
The job is about making and putting in different fabric parts inside airplanes using tools. This person will also cut patterns and cover up walls or seats with these fabrics.
Skill Requirements Must-Have:
Upholstery : Ability to upholster furniture or interiors.
Fabricate : Skilled in creating items from raw materials.
Install : Proficient in fitting or fixing in place.
Cover Panels : Experience with covering panels using appropriate materials.
Design Drawings : Ability to understand and follow design drawings.
Preferred:
Experience with technical upholstery tasks within aviation industry standards.
Knowledge of FAA compliance requirements.
Experience with material tracking systems.
Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades is preferred.
Pay Details: $23.32 per hour
