MITAC-A Project Manager (Interiors)– Role and Responsibilities


  • Align short and long-term targets and deliverables with the IPTL, GL and Director/s

  • Ensure MPP Tier 1 milestones will be achieved and TC schedule is properly achieved by engineering teams

  • Act as focal point for Suppliers interface and schedule discussions, aligning strategies with IPTL and SCM

  • Provide guidance, support and approve MSP schedules developed by the TL, PEs and engineering teams

  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks for critical path activities

  • Develop the project budget & resource plans within the schedules

  • Managing the project weekly, monthly and long-term deliverables

  • Managing and reporting the project conflicts

  • Providing clear instructions to the teams, through MSP for weekly, monthly deliverables to meet program demands.

  • Driving the teams to meet the schedule.

  • Perform risk management activities, proposing actions to solve or mitigate those across the engineering team

  • Escalating issues/problems/concerns immediately to the IPTL and PMD GL.

Candidate experience requirements:

  • Project Management experience – essential (Interiors experience would be an advantage but no essential)

  • Micro Soft Project – schedules experience – essential

  • Leading cross functional teams – essential

  • Managing Stake Holders

  • Managing suppliers with the support of IPTL and Supplier support team

  • CAM (Control Account Management) – experience would be an advantage.

  • Proven track record.

  • References available on request.

  • Creation and presentations to Senior Execs on status, issues, plans, schedule, budget.

  • Travel = occasional travel to “local” supplier. (2hrs drive from SEC), Occasional travel to other suppliers/sub suppliers within the USA. Occasional travel to Japan, Nagoya.
