PDS Tech Inc Casework Project Manager in Suring, Wisconsin
Daily management and supervision of all casework estimating, CAD, project coordination and material take-off. Assist and explain to casework staff the risk management in all aspects of the current project. Other duties include: assigning profit margins to casework projects, negotiate projects with dealers (profit margin), brainstorm bidding strategies with dealers, sales reps and estimators, discuss casework assemblies within a project and discuss what the best approach for the next upcoming project is.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Lead the planning and implantation of project.
Mentor staff to ask appropriate questions about the project and discuss alternatives to issues identified.
Ensure alternative suggestions fit into the budget and profit margins already set in place.
Create a detailed project plan and monitor and track progress.
Challenge the team in how they review bids and help them understand any changes that are being requested.
Trouble-shoot every request for quote to assist the project estimator.
Comment and review CAD drawings based on field experience.
Successfully manage the relationship with the architects, general contractors and vendors.
Confer with dealers regarding a project, specifications, samples, etc.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Also, perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Report and escalate problems to executive management as needed.
Discuss modifications with the dealer or sales rep of their expectations and then pass this information onto the estimator for proper quoting.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Define project tasks and resource requirements.
Facilitate the finalized project quote, goals and time frame of completion.
Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM; overtime as needed
Extreme organizational skills and high level of attention to detail

Strong working knowledge of general computer applications.
Ability to learn quickly and be an effective multi tasker to take on new projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Technical or two year degree in project management – minimum
Working knowledge of the following systems: AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam
2-5 year working knowledge of dealer business consisting of:
Sales - calling architects and general contractors, and creating group presentations.
Estimating – bidding projects, working with multiple manufacturers and submitting a bid or quote for a project.
Project Management – jobsite visits to see the proposed project area, project scheduling to meet bidding and production deadlines, approval process and closing the deal with prospective clients and dealers.
Competitors – both internally within our area and externally in the educational furniture business preferred.
Proven working experience in project management in the area wood manufacturing preferred.
