PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Community Activation Contractor in Tempe, AZ

Primary job function is to provide hands-on event work to ensure all aspects of events are effectively planned and executed once strategy is determined.

Directs tactical development and implementation of the companies community sponsorships and events to effectively reach target audiences, engage and educate customers, achieve corporate goals, and enhance customer satisfaction and brand image/loyalty. Contributes to annual planning, budgeting and performance metrics.

Collaborates with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to cost-effectively produce events that accomplish multiple objectives and deliver exceptional attendee experiences.

Serves on the team which is primary liaison to CPR team for project coordination and Community Strategy and Creative Services teams for event/sponsorship activation.

Primary Statement of Duties

  • Works with Community Engagement Strategy team and internal partners in analysis of the overall event marketplace to identify opportunities that effectively reach target audiences, achieve corporate and program goals, and enhance customer satisfaction and brand image/loyalty.

  • Directs the development of audio/visual, virtual components, displays, signage, collateral materials and other items required in order to achieve the event objectives.

  • Ensures on-site logistics are managed effectively by the team for all SRP events and activities, with a keen focus on safety for staff and attendees.

  • Primary liaison to Creative Services and Community strategy team to provide relevant industry nuances and ensure event engagement effectiveness.

Education

High School Diploma

Years of Experience

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or related discipline that prepares an individual to perform the stated job duties.

Type of Experience

Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in event marketing, event execution, event evaluation, project management, or a related discipline that prepares an individual to perform the stated job duties.

Other Significant Requirements

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals including customers, executive management, and hourly personnel. Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and communications software. Working knowledge of the electric utility industry is highly desired. Due to the nature of these responsibilities, flexibility is essential for irregular workdays/hours per calendar week and being available at any time to address urgent event needs that are escalated to this position. Considerable local travel is required, with occasional overnight travel.

  2. Knowledge of the companies products, services, operations and policies, organizational structure, community responsibility, and the electric utility business.

  4. Strong negotiation skills with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less and a track record of producing events within budget.

  5. Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to determine key points of complex issues and be persuasive with publics of diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.

  6. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

  7. Excellent organizational, project management and analytical skills.

  8. Ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities and work under numerous deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  9. Ability to independently and proactively organize work projects, and anticipate and resolve issues, to effectively manage resources and execute events.

  10. Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information.
