PDS Tech Inc Manufacturing Technician in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Tewksbury, MA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility of assembling a variety of handheld instruments

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and report any problems with documentation

  • Complete all Production tasks as scheduled on a daily and weekly basis

  • Conduct basic functional testing and visual inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and instruments

  • Perform transactions in MRP systems to ensure tracking of work orders

  • Report to Supervisor or Team Leader any equipment problems or machinery breakdowns

  • Report to Supervisor or Team Leader any inventory shortages

  • Report to the Supervisor or Team Leader any safety related problems

  • Adhere to ISO9000 requirements, ESD, plant hygiene and housekeeping

  • Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements of the job function

  • Participate in daily team stand-up meetings; communicating daily challenges and/or ideas

  • Participate in improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)

  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow established 5S procedures

  • Participate in appropriate meetings and discussions as required

  • All other reasonable tasks as may be requested by the Team Leader or Production Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Technical and mechanical aptitude

  • Computer software knowledge and math skills a must

  • Previous experience as a production line assembler or production environment

  • Being pro-active, motivated, and a healthy sense of urgency are highly valued

  • Ability to work under limited supervision and complete assignments with limited instruction

  • Ability to work in a team environment and build working relationships with co-workers

  • Ability to sit or stand at workbench for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, reach, turn as required

  • Good manual dexterity is required. (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)

  • Must use hands for extended periods of time while assembling

  • The hours for this role will be predominantly first shift work

  • Accepting of flexible hours (including Saturdays) to fit production requirements will be necessary
