PDS Tech Inc., is seeking an Environmental Validation Engineer in Troy, MI
Responsible for Environmental Validation activities from RFQ to final customer’s acceptation.
The Environmental Validation Engineer leads the environmental test activities according to the company’s rules and international standards.
Responsible for determining the scope and needs of Environmental tests.
Responsible to book resources (Chambers, external l ab)
Realize the test (electrical, mechanical, environmental, reliability) in the standard time and in line withthe instruction sheet (test specification) and according to projects and customer’s milestones.
Defines environmental test cases according to requirements and Environmental test standards.
Develops, maintains and drives Environmental Test Plan and Environmental Test Specification toapproval.
Prepare and review of the environmental test reports.
Explains and discusses the environmental test results with the project team and customers.
Reports status and problems to the Project team, R&D PTM, and other Metiers.
Prepares FVS (Fixe, Variable, Specific) check from Environmental Validation perspective.
Performs Environmental Validation risk analysis.
Maintain up to date Dashboard and Environmental Tool calendar.
Provide work instruction to test houses to enable efficient transfer of test equipment.
Contribute to product problems solving, support 5W2H / PDCA.
Contribute to the improvement of the laboratory’s tools such as: Instruction sheets, logs, development and validation tools.
Improve test efficiency
Carry out all work to comply with Quality Management System and Validation Engineering Processes e.g. ASPICE, ISO/IATF16949.
Coordinate logistics of test racks from and company’s local laboratory and other laboratories worldwide.
Track all equipment sent off site with Tracking number to be kept on file.
Bachelor’s in computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering.
Min. 2 years’ experience and knowledge of test & validation methods in the automotive industry
Knowledge of automotive electronics systems
Proficient with MS Office / Google Suite.
Basic knowledge in National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand software - Certified LabVIEW
Basic knowledge instrumentation interfacing over PXI, PCI, USB, RS232 & GPIB
Basic knowledge in hardware and peripherals
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents /schematics.
Basic knowledge of automotive electronics systems
Validation experience with knowledge of test & validation methods
Basic knowledge of accelerated life testing
Basic knowledge of IATF 16949
