PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Program Manager Tucson, AZ.
Must have Project Engineer and/or Project Leadership experience with Systems, Software and Hardware engineering development on airborne military and/or commercial contracts.
Must have experience with airborne software, electronic airborne parts, airborne hardware assembly, and testing of airborne components.
Also, must have experience generating hardware and software update proposals and working directly with customers.
Examples would be the C130 NIU and GE-MDEC (F110) board manufacturers (as Celestica transitions board manufacturing from one supplier to another) to ensure on-time delivery of production hardware, including, but not limited to, coordination of design for obsolescence and modernization of the hardware, including engineering specifications and drawings per RTCA DO-160 and DO-254.
10% travel required.
Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.
Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
Develops new business and expands product line.
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments.
Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complex tasks.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Typically reports to a unit/department head.
Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
