PDS Tech Inc Engineering Program Manager in Tucson, Arizona

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Program Manager Tucson, AZ.


  • Must have Project Engineer and/or Project Leadership experience with Systems, Software and Hardware engineering development on airborne military and/or commercial contracts.

  • Must have experience with airborne software, electronic airborne parts, airborne hardware assembly, and testing of airborne components.

  • Also, must have experience generating hardware and software update proposals and working directly with customers.

  • Examples would be the C130 NIU and GE-MDEC (F110) board manufacturers (as Celestica transitions board manufacturing from one supplier to another) to ensure on-time delivery of production hardware, including, but not limited to, coordination of design for obsolescence and modernization of the hardware, including engineering specifications and drawings per RTCA DO-160 and DO-254.

  • 10% travel required.

  • Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.

  • Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.

  • Develops new business and expands product line.

  • Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments.

  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of complex tasks.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Typically reports to a unit/department head.


  • Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
