PDS Tech Inc ECS/Pneumatics Engineer in Wichita, Kansas
PDS is looking for an ECS/Pneumatic Engineer in Wichita, KS
As part of a team of engineers, supply expertise primarily in the ECS/Pneumatics field (air conditioning, cooling, cabin pressurization, anti-ice and oxygen systems) or other systems required to support the development and certification flight testing of the customers products.
In your role, you will:
With guidance, create system schematics, requirements documents, system descriptions, interface documents, wiring diagrams, certification plans, issue papers, functional test requirements, test plans, test reports, and design compliance reports for new and/or upgraded aircraft systems.
Review installation drawings, qualification test data and reports.
Support change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation.
Show compliance to 14CFR Part 25, Transport Canada, and EASA aircraft requirements.
Research specifications for components selections. Work with suppliers and internal customers to assist with production and/or flight test personnel, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues.
Extensive coordination with suppliers, internal support groups and external customers
Provide specialist advice relating to test methods and procedures for these systems
Review and analysis of data obtained from ground and flight tests of these systems
Produce ground/flight test reports
Prepare plans for troubleshooting aircraft/systems problems, and oversee the implementation of these plans by licensed aircraft mechanics
Sign flight release documentation (including safety of flight judgments) discrepancies or non-standard modifications.

Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical/ Aerospace Engineering with five years of working experience in ECS & Oxygen OR a minimum of ten years of working experience in ECS & Oxygen if no degree.
Experience in clean sheet aircraft development programs
Experience in flight-testing of civil aircraft and a good working knowledge of FAA & JAA certification requirements (FAR 25 or JAR 25) preferred
Ability to interpret software documentation including logic diagrams related to electronic control of ECS/Pneumatics systems.
Experience with utilizing ARINC data to isolate faults related to system controls software.
Good communication and teamwork skills, both oral and written.
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management and contractors.
Must be self-motivated, able to coordinate multiple activities and manage time effectively.
Must be capable of obtaining ITAR clearance
