PDS Tech Inc Loads Engineer in Wichita, Kansas

JOB SUMMARY:

Principal responsibilities include acoustics, aeroelastic stability, and dynamic loads analysis for Special Missions and Defense modifications. Requires coordination with multiple technical stakeholders. In this position, the candidate will work closely with IPT members (such as Program Management, Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain, & Quality Assurance) to achieve the desired design requirements and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Integrate Special Missions equipment on a variety of aircraft platforms for missions including the following:

o Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance, Aerial Survey, Air Ambulance, Flight Inspection, Float Operations, Parachute, Maritime Patrol, Search & Rescue, Training, Utility/Transport

  • Develop aerodynamic and structural dynamic models using computational aerodynamics and finite element tools to analyze aircraft dynamic response

  • Work on development and implementation of improved analytical methods for acoustic data collection and acoustic treatment design using Matlab, NASTRAN finite element, and other tools

  • Solve acoustics, vibration, and other structural dynamics problems on Special Missions aircraft utilizing both analytical and experimental tools
