Job Description::

  • We are seeking a Administrative Assistant to join the Mission Systems Administrative Support department to support Engineering and Operations on a contract basis.

  • This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work 2 to 4 days per week at the Windsor Locks, CT location.

  • A successful candidate must demonstrate stakeholder management skills, show flexibility, have exceptional time management to keeping things running smoothly, and strong verbal and written communication.

  • Also, the candidate must be solutions-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity and have a passion for process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains calendars, schedules appointments, arranges departmental meetings/conferences, and attends meetings to take notes.

  • Coordinates and executes departmental events.

  • Book domestic and international travel in accordance with company travel policy, provide guidance on Passport/ Visa applications and proper travel documentation requirements.

  • Prepare expense reports and purchase requisitions.

  • Effectively interface with employees and leaders from other business units and with external business contacts.

  • Assist in preparing and proofreading meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations and other document preparation using Microsoft applications as needed.

  • Strong teamwork skills and a confident ability to offer suggestions on process improvement.

  • Collaborates with other Administrative Assistants to share knowledge and coordinate inter-departmental activities.

  • Maintains office supplies for department, including tracking, ordering, and organizing.

  • Assist in tasks associated with onboarding of new employees.

  • Perform other general administrative and project duties as requested by leadership.

  • Job duties may change at any time due to business need.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Undergraduate college degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in customer service roles.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

  • Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).
