Job Description::
We are seeking a Administrative Assistant to join the Mission Systems Administrative Support department to support Engineering and Operations on a contract basis.
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work 2 to 4 days per week at the Windsor Locks, CT location.
A successful candidate must demonstrate stakeholder management skills, show flexibility, have exceptional time management to keeping things running smoothly, and strong verbal and written communication.
Also, the candidate must be solutions-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity and have a passion for process improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintains calendars, schedules appointments, arranges departmental meetings/conferences, and attends meetings to take notes.
Coordinates and executes departmental events.
Book domestic and international travel in accordance with company travel policy, provide guidance on Passport/ Visa applications and proper travel documentation requirements.
Prepare expense reports and purchase requisitions.
Effectively interface with employees and leaders from other business units and with external business contacts.
Assist in preparing and proofreading meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations and other document preparation using Microsoft applications as needed.
Strong teamwork skills and a confident ability to offer suggestions on process improvement.
Collaborates with other Administrative Assistants to share knowledge and coordinate inter-departmental activities.
Maintains office supplies for department, including tracking, ordering, and organizing.
Assist in tasks associated with onboarding of new employees.
Perform other general administrative and project duties as requested by leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Undergraduate college degree preferred.
Previous experience in customer service roles.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).
